When Bae Comes to Play
As some of you know, my partner and I don’t get the privilege of being together often. We met while he was going to high school in the U.S. while his sister was on a student visa. We fell in love while he was in the U.S. on a student visa for grad school. His Student visas expired in 2012 and we have been trying to get on the same continent, and maybe some day, country, ever since.
This last year we went 8 months without seeing each other. I am so grateful he is a well seasoned flyer as it allowed him to take a week of vacation to fly from Dubai to the U.S. for a week.
He is so supportive of my work and nurturing of my creative side so he didn’t mind us spending a day playing outside and photographing some of my recent knit projects.
So Faded Sweater pattern by Andrea Mowry, DreaRenaeKnits
Yarn by Machete Shoppe in Rhubarb, Tea Party, Firefly Chai, Dreamcatcher, Sweet Creek and Blue Lagoon.
Radiate Sweater pattern by Joji Locatelli
Yarn by Hedgehog Fibres in Shamrock and Pesto
Pattern is loosely Terre Et Mer by Princesse Grenouille
Yarn is mill ends.
It couldn’t have been a more perfect Autumn day to frolic around the Roebling Bridge.
I look forward to my next adventures with bae when he returns for the Holidays.
XOXO
I love your knitted wear and I love these photos and you and “bae.” Seeing him (and you) so happy makes my heart swell. You are such a special woman to him and I’m grateful to have been able to see you both together. He is a very dear friend and so much a part of my family- welcome to the family too!
